Position Overview: The Art Director leads the visual direction and execution of creative projects, collaborating closely with designers, copywriters, and other team members. They ensure that visual concepts are aligned with the brand identity and client objectives, creating engaging, high-quality designs that communicate messages effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

1.Creative Leadership:

Develop and present innovative design concepts and visual solutions.

Lead a team of designers, illustrators, and other creative professionals to execute design concepts.

Maintain the visual consistency of the project while ensuring creative output meets project goals.

Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

Review and provide feedback on designs produced by team members.


2.Design & Execution:

Create mood boards, style guides, and visual direction for projects.

Design layouts, graphics, and visual content across various media (print, digital, video, etc.).

Ensure all visual content adheres to brand guidelines, and maintain consistency across different platforms.


3.Collaboration:

Work closely with copywriters, photographers, illustrators, and marketing teams to integrate design with messaging.

Communicate design strategies to other departments, ensuring cohesion in final output.

Liaise with external vendors or freelancers when necessary.


4.Quality Control:

Review and approve final artwork before production or publication.

Ensure all designs are accurate and polished, free from errors or inconsistencies.


5.Trends & Innovation:

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques.

Incorporate new design trends and technologies into projects to ensure creativity and innovation.

Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. Experience:
  3. 10+ years of experience in graphic design or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership.
  4. Experience working in a specific industry (e.g., advertising, digital design, publishing) is a plus.

Skills:

  1. Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  2. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and visual composition.
  3. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  4. Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, design skills, and successful projects.
